About the Program
The Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP) is a programme designed by the national government for the sole purpose of equipping young Kenya with professionalism, business and technical skills. The Aim of KYEOP Cycle 9
Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP) is a tool used by the government to curb unemployment which in extension vices in the society. The project is aimed towards the transformation, empowerment, and uplifting of youths in Kenya.
The whole idea of the project is to equip youths within the the ages of 18 to 35 years with essential training, internship, business idea and grant opportunities. There is of course, a lot to benefit from KYEOP.

Requirements for KYEOP Cycle 9 Application (2025)
To checklist or call it eligibility criteria that qualifies you to apply for Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP) Cycle 9 are as follows:
- Interested applicants must be between 18 and 29 years.
- Applicant must not currently be employed.
- You must not currently enrolled in any school or planning to join a school in the next eight (8) months.
- Have achieved education not higher than form four level.
1. Grants
In case of expansion grants, candidate applying must meet the following requirements:
- You must be aged between 18 and 35 years
- Applicant must have an existing business, which is registered
- You must be a youth-owned business
2. Certification
Certification for master craftsmen refers to people with special skills that have been practicing over time.
- You must be proficient in a certain skill or craft, which is considered useful to the society and one that has economic relevance viability.
- The eligibility also requires willingness to undertake training in order to upgrade their skills.
